    Hi Caitlin! I suppose there is no other special meaning for the name 'Sun' than referring to our nearest star. Different early civilizations called this daily bright light by their own names. Many cultures considered Sun as a god and the worship of the Sun was an important part of their rituals. Greeks called the god of Sun Helios while Romans used the name Sol.
