    Hi Jeanie,

    I have only seen one total solar eclipse in my life- it occurred when I was in 4th grade (or close to), and I was living in Colorado at the time. I remember our teachers taught us how to safely view the eclipse- it was an amazing experience, even at a young age!! I had no idea at the time that I would study the Sun as a career. I've also been in a partial solar eclipse, which was also neat, even though I couldn't look at it. I've seen plenty of lunar eclipses!

    I would guess many of the other scientists on this board have seen more than myself. I hope to see more in person in the future!
