    dose an solar eclipse happen twice every year, once every year, ect.......

    Hi Rachel,
    They usually happen about twice a year at some location on the Earth. At those times the moon's orbit about the earth is such that the moon comes right between the earth and sun. You can see the pattern in this list of upcoming eclipses:
