    Hi There, Yes, many, many times! Over twenty years, all various sizes, and shapes! You can see these yourself at; http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov Look under "current images" of the Sun. As a "CAUTION", never look at the Sun, without the aid of professional solar viewing equipment! Did you know some Sunspots can be many times larger than the Earth itself!
