    Hi, I'm Sam and I have a question. Well, I get in a lot of trouble in school sometimes. But, I was wondering if you knew of a scientist that was like me and also got in some trouble in school. Because, it seems like most of you are straight A+ Students.

    Hi Sam,

    I did get into a lot of trouble in school, but because I would talk back to my teachers. I got away with it mainly because I was a very good student, so the teachers sort of 'put up' with me since they liked the fact that I did well in their classes. In hindsight, I wish I had not been rude to my teachers. They have a tough job! I was not rude to many of them, though, and I had some real favorite and wonderful teachers!

    Hi Sam;

    I used to do some teaching in Fairfield! anyway -- I guess I'll echo what Isabel said, my "geek-friends" and I used to be kind of smart-mouthed but got away with it to some extent. It got better when we were in more difficult classes, because we weren't bored. We were still smart-mouthed, but the tone changed because we were being challenged more. And no, I was never a straight A+ student except maybe one year in Jr. high school. I'm really not good at remembering history, and I barely passed those classes!
