    Hi Candice,

I don't have a huge stamp collection, but I have occasionally bought interesting postage stamps to take home with me as souvenirs from trips to foreign countries like Costa Rica and Australia.

When I was a student, my thesis advisor named all of her computers after famous animals that traveled into space. We collected pictures of some of the animals and put them onto a web site. Some of the animals sent into space by the Soviet Union were pictured on postage stamps. There are a few pictures of these stamps on the web site. You can find the web site here: http://ham.space.umn.edu/kris/animals.html .
