How much can you earn a year as a scientist studying the sun?

    Hi Lupe,

How much you make really depends on the level of job you have. A graduate student doesn't make a lot (although usually they have their tuition at the school paid for, so that's a bonus) and a full professor usually makes a reasonable amount of money. Research scientists at various laboratories and institutions can make a reasonable amount of money too (again depending on their rank). However, it is unlikely you will get rich being a solar or space physicist.

Most of us are happy to be paid doing something that we really enjoy!

    Best,
    Christina
