Multiverse's Nancy Ali and Ruth Paglierani along with Macha Harper from Girls Inc. of Alameda County will be presenting a 2-hour workshop at the BOOST conference:
Pathways: Connecting Middle School Students with College Students to Enhance STEM Learning

This workshop provides strategies and resources for bringing college students into afterschool programs as guest instructors and role models for middle school students. We share curriculum and lessons learned from the NASA-funded “Five Stars Pathway” project, which is a partnership between UC Berkeley and Girls Inc. The workshop includes engagement in STEM activities as well as discussion of how other afterschool programs could implement a similar model for collaborating with college students.
