The Sun is about 93 million miles away. Our orbit around the Sun is not exactly circular, and throughout a year our distance varies between about 91 and 95 million miles. The average distance between us and the sun has its own unit: an Astronomical unit, or AU (https://en.wikipedia.org/.../Astronomical_unit). It takes light about 8 minutes and 19 seconds to travel from the Sun to the Earth.
