What was the updated information concerning Stonehenge in England, was it used for astronomical purposes, a calendar or what?

Yes, there is solid evidence that Stonehenge has astronomical connections. It seems to be aligned with summer solstice sunrise and winter solstice sunset. It is possible that it was also used to predict eclipses, although that it is a little less certain. Rather than being a calendar like how we think of calendars (i.e. to keep track of time), Stonehenge was probably used in relation to burial rituals.
