The next solar eclipse visible from the U.S. is a partial one on October 23. I'm afraid that viewed from Miami, FL, the Moon will not be obscuring the Sun very much at all and will be in progress at sunset. For St. Petersburg, FL (and Miami), the next possibility will be Aug. 21, 2017 when the eclipse will be 80% total. If you want to see a total exlipse that year, you will need to go north to (for example) Nashville, TN.

To see more eclipse predictions, see Fred Espenak's excellent pages: http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/JSEX/JSEX-NA.html
