Do any of the scientists like drawing? I also like horseback riding!

    Hi Jacquelyn,

I like to draw! I hope I just could find more time to do that. I also enjoy playing soccer and snowboarding.

    Hi Jacquelyn,

When I was a girl, I really liked to draw. I had read the Black Stallion and Misty of Chincotegue books, so horses were one of my favorite things to draw. I haven't been horseback riding much though - only a few times at Girl Scout camp. I have been to Assateague Island and Chincoteague Island, where Misty lived. Chincoteague Island, Virgina happens to be just a few miles away from the NASA Wallops Flight Facility. I visited NASA Wallops a few years ago to help out with a NASA sounding rocket mission called CHARM. You can see the satellite dishes at NASA Wallops from Chincoteague Island. It is very strange to think that the ponies and old-fashioned shrimp boats on Chincoteague Island are so close to the high-tech, modern world of NASA.

    Hi Jacquelyn,

I'm afraid I'm not very good at drawing or horseback riding. But I do like horses...and donkeys...and mules! I'm just not very comfortable riding them. In my spare time, I enjoy tap dancing, ballet, and running.

I am not an artist, but my daughter Ame is a senior majoring in Visual Arts at Rice University, and she can draw, paint and sculpt! She is also an avid horsewoman...she gets that from me. I've had horses all my life... and have been thrown a few times in the process. We presently have two horses, Queenie and Lucy. Queenie is an "alpha" and wants to have her way all the time. We're going to take her in for some training!
