Hi,

We don't expect the Sun to explode. Eventually we expect it to will expand to a huge size and then its outer layers will expand outwards leaving behind a small, bright star called a "white dwarf".

Some larger stars do actually explode (these explosions are called supernovas), leaving behind cores in the forms of super dense neutron stars or even black holes.

The outer layers of the Sun that float out into the galaxy (or explode out in the case of supernovas) might eventually combine with other intergalactic dust and gas to form new stars, but it is hard to predictexactly how long that would take.

We do think that happens, though. We think our solar system, including the Earth and Sun are formed out of left over material from earlier stars.
