Yes, we have been able to see "sunspots" on a few other stars.
In addition, there are many stars who's brightness changes on a regular basis; we think this is because the star has starspots. Sunspots and starspots rotate with the Sun or star and make the brightness go up and down. So this is also used to determine the rotation rate of distant stars.
NASA's Kepler mission is finding lots of new stars with varying brightness.
