    Hi Tanya,

    That is a very astute question! And yes, it does indeed!

    The Sun experiences an approximately 22-year full magnetic cycle. In the first ~11 years, the fields at the poles will flip (example, the north would go from positive to negative and vice versa for the south). During the second half of the cycle, the polar fields will flip back. The activity of the Sun (example, flares and active regions) also follows with the magnetic cycle.
