    Will sun ever stop shining ? is sun responsible for any of the dangerous solar storms?

    The sun will turn into a Red Giant in about 5 billion years. At that time it will become so huge that it will engulf the earth and we will all fry. (I hope we will have colonies on distant moons and planets by then).

    Most of the solar storms create beautiful auroral displays but are not deadly to people on earth. Astronauts and airline crews crossing the poles get excess radiation that can build up. The most danger is to astronauts on the Moon or in deep space, who could be harmed by very energetic particles emitted during a solar flare.
