    Dear Kellie

    This is a REALLY HARD question!

    But you only asked for an opinion, so I'll give my 2 cents worth...

    At the present state of solar energy technology (collection & storage), providing as much energy as coal & oil is not feasible. And I don't think solar energy will catch up in the next 50 years....but MAYBE if we start collecting solar energy in space (not on the ground), solar will catch up...
