    Like all the planets in our universe, Mars travels in an elliptical orbit so it has a point where it is closest to the Sun and point where it is furthest from the Sun. At it's closest or the perihelion it is 207 million km or 1.38 AU. At it's furthest or aphelion it is 249 million km or 1.67 AU

    There you can look up that Mars is 227,940,000 km from the sun - 1.52 times farther than Earth
