    Alex (Gx)

Are other suns colder, or hotter than our own?

    Hi Alex,

Some stars are hotter than the sun, but most are smaller and cooler. For stars color connects to temperature. The hotest stars are blueish and the coolest ones are red. The sun is a kind of in between white, with a surface temperature of about 10,000 F (5,800 K).
