Hi! Well, we should be seeing more and more sunspots, because it looks like the sun is starting to have new cycle spots again. There were a few earlier this year, and now there are some more: check out http://soho.nascom.nasa.g...week/old/26sep2008/. So, probably over the next few months more and more will appear! As for the biggest sunspot -- one candidate is "The Great Sunspot of 1947", which was 3 times bigger than the biggest sunspot of recent years.
