    Nicole S (LM) How much energy does saturn get from the sun? And would you see any sunlight on its moon titan ever? thanks

    Hi Nicole,

    Because Saturn (and its moon Titan) is about 10 times farther from the Sun than Earth, it will get about 1/100 the amount of sunlight. But, at the surface of Titan the sky is really smoggy/hazy so that cuts the sunlight down even further. In the end the intensity of the sunlight on Titan's surfact is only about 1/1000 of that at Earth.
