Is it possible that geothermal energy can be used to power NASA's rockets? Niles L.(FWMS)

The quick answer is no, NASA rockets use chemical energy stored in the rocket fuel. Geothermal energy is extracted from the Earth's heat to make electricity.

You could say that the rocket fuel requires energy to produce, and some of that energy came from electricity and some of the electricity came from Geothermal sources. But you could also say that about nuclear or solar power.
