Do any of you scientists like fishing? I've been on vacation to north carolina, to the ocean, and someone said there's a fish called a sunfish?

    Hi Miraha,

I've never been fishing, but I have been to see the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. It is really amazing to see the variety of fish that live in the Great Barrier Reef. We saw some whales, probably humpback whales, breaching on the boat ride back from the reef. On a trip to Hawaii, I stayed in a hotel that had an special lighted area where we could watch wild rays feeding at night. I also went whale-watching on this trip to Hawaii. We didn't see any humpback whales up close on this trip, but we could see them spouting in the distance. We also saw some dolphins when we returned to the harbor.

I've heard of the sunfish, but I don't think I would be able to recognize one, even if it swam right up to me!

Fishing can be fun, but I'd rather be doing something more active, like riding horses or working in the garden. My daughter Amy is great at fishing, and went to Canada this summer to catch Pike and Walleye.
