Hi Chris,
Traveling is one of the things I like the most about working as a space scientist. I have been to three conferences in France. I have also traveled to Finland, Japan, and the United Kingdom for conferences. Some of my colleagues have traveled to places like Australia and India to attend conferences. My boss will soon travel to the Andoya Rocket Range in Norway to launch the TRICE sounding rocket. You can learn more about the rocket and the launch site in Norway here:

Most American scientists also travel to conferences in the U.S. a few times each year. The last conference I went to was a meeting held near Salt Lake City, Utah in June. A lot of the Solar Week scientists will probably attend the American Geophysical Union's Fall Meeting in December, which will be held in San Francisco, CA.
