I heard that you can be Blinded by a solar eclipse if you look at it. If so, how does the time it lasts for get recorded?
But I do know you can look at a Lunar Eclipse.

You are correct- you don't want to look at a solar eclipse with the naked eye. There are special telescopes and methods that allow people to view and record eclipses. One method is the pinhole projector- you can read about it at the following web site:
