The next solar eclipse will be a partial eclipse on March 19 2007. You will have to go to Northern Alaska to see it. The next total solar eclipse is on August 1 2008, and you can see it from Russia, Greenland and Northern Canada.

James W. Fairfield CT. Why do you have to be in certain places to see solar eclipses? Such as the next total solar eclipse you would have to be in Russia, Greenland, or Northern Canada. I just want to know why that is.
