what color are sunspots?

    are sunspots green, yellow, black ect....

    Sunspots appear black against the solar disk. This is because they are regions (as large as the Earth) of very strong magnetic fields which don't allow as much light to escape as the surrounding area which is EXTREMELY bright! Although they appear black, there is still some radiation coming from them- it is just relatively much less than the rest of the surface radiation.

    do any other sunspots have any differnt color to them? also do sunspots have more than one color to them?
