    LeAnn B,

    Who first observed sunspots? I've heard that Galileo did, but then someone said the ancient asians, maybe chinese? Who's right, I can't find anything about ancient chinese?

    Hi LeAnn,
    The Chinese were observing sunspots a long time ago - long before Galileo. Galileo is the first person we know of who made a point of observing them very systematically with a telescope and leaving a careful record of it.
