    Hi Erica,

Solar storms can affect all of the planets and objects in our solar system, but the way in which they affect objects in our solar system depends upon how far away the planet or object is, and whether or not the planet or object has a magnetic field. Solar storms can affect anything inside the heliosphere, which is the region of space where the solar wind plasma dominates. My co-workers at the University of Iowa built plasma wave instruments for the Voyager spacecraft which have crossed the heliopause and left the heliosphere. You can listen to space sounds (actually radio waves) recorded by Voyager 1 near the heliopause here: https://space.physics.uio...terstellar_2014.html
