I made a drawing of the horizon from my bedroom window. I marked it once a week for almost a whole year. The sun moved to the left and then to the right. Would it repeat exactly the same if I did it for another year?

What a fantastic experiment you performed! Yes, it would repeat exactly the same through another year over the same time period. What you are measuring is the tilt of the Earth's axis with respect to the plane of the solar system as we orbit the Sun. This ~23 degree tilt is completely responsible for our seasons as it changes the angle of the sunlight for different regions across the globe throughout the year. More direct sunlight means warmer temperatures and vice versa.
