    Hi,
    Compared to things we think about in our regular lives, the Sun is huge. It’s diameter is 1,390,000 km (about 864,000 miles) across. You could fit about 109 Earths along the diameter of the Sun. Sunspots regions - dark active magnetically areas on the surface of the Sun can sometimes be a number of times the size of the Earth.

    As stars go it is larger than many, but some are much larger.
