How many miles in diameter would all the planets in our solar system be if you combined them together, including the sun?

    Hi Nicolas,

Well, I'm not sure exactly what you mean by 'combined them together' - if you mean put them inside each other, all the planets fit within the Sun. If you mean put them next to each other and measure the whole thing end to end then the answer is over one million miles long (1,113,816 miles), with the Sun being more than 3/4 of that. For comparison the distance from the center of the Sun to the center of the Earth is 93 million miles - almost 100 times bigger.

    Best,
    Christina
