Question from a student (during webinar) is the solar wind specific to our sun? Would it be different if we were looking at a bluer or redder star?

    Hi,

No, we have evidence that there is the equivalence of a solar wind at other stars. In fact probably most stars that are similar to our Sun have solar wind.

If the star were bluer, it would be hotter which would probably result in a stronger solar wind. But it also depends on the strength of the star's magnetic field. A stronger magnetic field would likely yield a slower solar wind but it also depends on how much the field spreads out as you move father away from the star.
