what's the hottest the sun is ever been, will it get hotter?

Hi!
The Sun is as hot as its ever been, about 5500 degrees Celsius at its surface. It will get hotter, though -- in fact, on the way to its ultimate fate as a white dwarf its surface temperature will become several times hotter. Check out this link for more details on the Sun's evolution:
