Since jupiter is gas, similar to the sun, why doesn't jupiter blow up?

Hi Casey,
The gas that makes up Jupiter is held together in a ball by its own gravity. All the atoms attract each other because of their mass - the same thing that keeps us from floating off the Earth and into space.
Best,
Christina
