    Hi James,

    You can check out http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/solar.html for lists of upcoming solar eclipses including maps of where they can be seen (weather permitting :-)) .

    The next solar eclipse will be an annular eclpise this May 10. It will be visible from parts of Autralia and the Pacific Ocean. In an annual eclipse you can still see the Sun's surface in a ring around the Moon. See http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap120519.html.

    The next total eclipse is not until 2015.

    There will be a total eclipse this coming November, crossing across the atlantic ocean. I will be observing it from a cruise ship! We will get only just over a minute of totality. I'll try to post my pictures to spaceweather.com, but we may not have internet at sea!

    Here is the plot of the path of that eclipse. It is interesting because some places on Earth it will be annular and only at sea will it be total:
