Is all the parts of the sun the same temperature?

Nope. The Sun has various "layers" and their temperatures vary. The core or the very center of the Sun is 15.6 million Kelvin. As you travel out from the core, the temperature slowly drops. The photosphere or what we call the Sun's surface is 6,000 Kelvin. Now as you keep moving out from the photosphere of the Sun, something interesting happens. The temperature rises. The very outer layer of the Sun, known as the corona has a temperature of over 1,000,000 Kelvin!
