Dear Erin,
The closest star that is like our Sun is Alpha Centauri. It is the brightest star in the southern sky constellation Centaurus.
Unlike our Sun, it is in a double star system, that is, it has a companion cooler star and the two "suns" orbit around their common center of mass.
There are many such "binary" star systems in our galaxy.
