Hello Kristen I am an avid reader. I mainly read fantasy and sci fi type books, but honestly as long as it is engaging, I will read it! Some of my favorite authors at the moment are Neil Gaiman, Cherie Priest, and Christopher Moore. Off the top of my head I can't think of any good sci fi books about the Sun, but if I think of anything I will pass them along.

    Hi Kristen,

Sure, I like reading! I belong to a science fiction book group that meets once a month in one of our local book stores. What happens to the Sun as it ages was very important in the book that the group read this month. I haven't had time to read this month's book yet, as I was away at a conference, but the other members of the group enjoyed it. In the book, mysterious aliens seal the planet Earth inside some kind of force field. Inside the force field, time moves much more slowly than normal, so that one day on Earth takes millions of years outside the force field. The people on Earth have to figure out how to cope with the fact that due to the force field's extreme time dilation effect, the aging, expanding Sun will soon engulf the Earth, making it uninhabitable. The book was called "Spin" and it was written by Robert Charles Wilson.
