With the economy the way it is, what could I do to better myself later if I wanted to become a sciencetist?

    HI Michael,

The best way to work towards becoming a scientist is to study math and science at school! And read a lot of books. There are also lots of good web sites now that have activities and little science projects that you can do yourself.

    Hi Michael,

Paulett is right that studying a lot in your math and science courses and doing science projects will help you become a scientist.

Whether you end up becoming a scientist or choose another career, it is easier to survive tough economic times if you do well in school, graduate from college and/or learn many different skills. And while your education is very important, it is also important to learn how to adapt your skills and knowledge to unfamiliar situations. MacGyver may be a fictional character, but he is one of my heroes because he can adapt his skills to solve any problem (and because the actor who played MacGyver is from Minnesota!).
